The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. – Numbers 6:25 (NIV)
Numbers 6:25 says, “The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.” These words are part of a blessing spoken over God’s people. They remind us that God’s presence brings light, kindness, and peace.
When God’s face shines on us, it means He looks on us with care and approval. Just as a smiling face brings comfort, God’s shining face brings hope and reassurance. We are not overlooked or forgotten by Him.
The blessing also speaks of God’s grace. Grace means receiving kindness we do not earn. God’s grace meets us in our weakness and lifts us when we feel unworthy or tired.
This verse reminds us that God’s favor is personal. He knows us and desires to bless us. His attention is not distant or cold, but warm and loving.
Numbers 6:25 encourages us to live each day aware of God’s presence. No matter what we face, we can trust that God’s face is turned toward us. His grace surrounds us, bringing comfort, strength, and peace into our lives.
