The Greatest Is Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” These simple words carry deep meaning for everyday life.

Imagine a family facing a difficult year. Work is uncertain, plans have changed, and questions fill their minds. They hold on to faith, trusting that God is with them. They cling to hope, believing that better days will come.

Yet what carries them through each day is love. It shows up in shared meals, patient conversations, and quiet acts of support. Love softens harsh words and brings comfort when hearts feel heavy. It turns ordinary moments into something meaningful.

Faith points us to God. Hope keeps our eyes on the future. But love shapes how we live right now. It is seen in forgiveness, kindness, and sacrifice. Love reflects God’s own heart and becomes the clearest sign of His presence in us.

1 Corinthians 13:13 reminds us that while many things fade, love remains. Achievements may be forgotten and possessions may pass away, but love leaves a lasting mark. When we choose to love, we are living out what matters most, and we reflect the very character of God.
