Kept By His Care

Psalm 121:7–8 says, “The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” These words paint a picture of a faithful God who guards His people at every step.

A mother once stood at the door as her son left for his first day at a new school. She had packed his lunch and checked his backpack twice. As he walked away, she whispered a prayer, asking God to protect him. She could not follow him through the day, but she trusted that God could.

Life often feels uncertain. We step into new seasons, new places, and new challenges without knowing what will happen. We cannot control every outcome, no matter how carefully we prepare.

Psalm 121 reminds us that God’s protection is not limited by distance or time. He watches over our “coming and going,” meaning every ordinary and extraordinary moment. His care is constant, not temporary.

This passage invites us to rest in God’s steady presence. Even when we feel vulnerable, we are never alone. The One who watches over us does not grow tired. He remains faithful, guarding our lives now and forever.
