Mark 12:30 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Jesus called this the greatest commandment.
Imagine a musician playing a beautiful song. She does not use just her hands. Her heart feels the music, her mind focuses on every note, and her whole body moves with the rhythm. When she plays, she gives her full attention and energy.
Loving God is meant to be like that. It is not a small part of life set aside for certain days. It involves our heart—our emotions and desires. It includes our soul—our deepest self. It uses our mind—our thoughts and understanding. It requires our strength—our actions and effort.
Sometimes we divide our lives into sections, giving God only a corner. We may offer Him words but hold back our choices. Mark 12:30 reminds us that real love is wholehearted. It touches every part of who we are.
When we love God fully, our priorities begin to shift. Decisions are shaped by faith. Daily tasks become acts of devotion. Loving Him with all we are brings purpose and unity to our lives, drawing us closer to the One who first loved us.
