John 14:6 records Jesus saying, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” These words were spoken to His disciples when they were confused and afraid about the future.
Imagine being in a large, unfamiliar city at night. The streets are crowded, the signs are unclear, and you are not sure which direction leads home. You try different turns, but each one seems to bring more uncertainty. The feeling of being lost can be overwhelming.
Now imagine someone who knows the city well standing beside you. He does not just give directions—He says, “Follow me. I will take you there.” Suddenly, the journey feels different. You are no longer guessing. You are walking with someone who knows the way.
Jesus did not simply offer advice about how to find God. He said He is the way. He did not just teach ideas about truth; He claimed to be the truth. He did not merely speak about life; He promised life through Himself. In Him, we find guidance, clarity, and hope.
John 14:6 reminds us that faith is not about finding our own path. It is about trusting the One who leads us. When we follow Jesus, we are not wandering. We are walking toward home, step by step, with confidence and peace.
